    MOL Worldwide Logistics Ltd (MWL) established on July 1 will be in charge of MOL group's non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) business in Hong Kong

    MOL Worldwide Logistics Ltd (MWL) established on July 1 will be in charge of MOL group's non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) business in Hong Kong. MOL executive officer Michael Goh has been appointed CEO of MWL, which aims to officially commence operations on October 1. In the meanwhile, MWL has been making a number of preparations, including gaining permission of acquisition from relevant authorities.

    As the group's NVOCC headquarters, MWL will manage the NVOCC business of MOL Logistics (Japan) Ltd and MOL Consolidation Service Ltd by negotiating freight rates with shipping lines by integrating the cargo volume of both companies, and handling marketing, network operation and response to global customers.

    With a network of 360 offices in 61 countries, the group aims to drive container cargo volume up from 350,000 TEU at present to reach 550,000 TEU within three years.
