ITU Maritime Faculty students visited Anıtkabir, honoring Atatürk and committing to Turkish maritime ideals.
Students from the ITU Maritime Faculty visited Anıtkabir and laid a wreath at the mausoleum of the founder of our Republic, Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
After the ceremony, General Officer Yunus Emre Oğuz signed the Anıtkabir Special Book, while the young sailors also toured the Anıtkabir Museum.
Accompanied by ITU Maritime Faculty faculty member Prof. Dr. Yasin Arslanoğlu, the students sent a statement to the Maritime Journal, saying, 'As our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, “We must think of maritime as the great national ideal of the Turk and achieve it in a short time.” Inspired by this, we will never tire of working towards this goal.'
