TCG DİCLE Built by UZMAR Opens for Visitors at TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan
TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan, which brings together Turkey's local production capabilities in the maritime and defense industries with visitors, will continue until August 23 at the Gölcük Naval Shipyard Command.
One of the notable maritime vessels at the event will be the A-1564 TCG DİCLE Tugboat, constructed by UZMAR Shipyard. The tugboat, which will serve within the Turkish Naval Forces, will be open for visitors to examine during the festival.
The Signature of UZMAR on TCG DİCLE
One of the prominent aspects of TCG DİCLE is the reflection of Turkey's engineering and shipbuilding capabilities in the defense sector through a project at private sector shipyards.
The UZMAR Shipyard, where the tugboat was built, carries out the production of tugboats and various maritime vessels at its facility in Kocaeli.
UZMAR's shipbuilding activities encompass ASD, conventional, and other tugboat designs tailored to different operational needs. The company's fleet includes tugboats with towing capacities ranging from 17 to 85 tons.
Utilizing this experience in the construction of a military tugboat makes TCG DİCLE an example that not only showcases a maritime vessel exhibited at TEKNOFEST but also highlights the role of the Turkish private sector in the defense shipbuilding ecosystem.
TEKNOFEST Visitors Will Get a Close Look at TCG DİCLE
As part of TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan, which brings together technology and defense industry enthusiasts with a maritime focus, visitors will have the opportunity to closely examine TCG DİCLE.
Throughout the festival, in addition to the tugboat, various projects in Turkey's maritime, defense, and advanced technology sectors will also be showcased to visitors.
