On Jan 10, 2018, the 'Umoe Rapid' was docked at the NG Shipyards in Lauwersoog for repairs of a large gash in the foreship at starboard side. The repair will take some time as first a new part was being built in Norway. The damage was caused in an accident while serving wind farms at Borkum in a crash with high speed.
