Hapag-Lloyd announces Golden Week service adjustments. It will be suspending or modifying select Far East to North America sailings.

In response to shifting market demand during the National Day Golden Week holiday period, Hapag-Lloyd has announced schedule adjustments across multiple Far East to North America services, affecting routes serving both the US West Coast and East Coast. Select sailings will be omitted or modified in terms of port coverage.

On the WC2 service, voyage 640E, originally scheduled to be operated by the vessel Guthorm Maersk, will omit its Shanghai port call. The vessel had been scheduled to depart Shanghai on 10 October 2026 (Week 40). Hapag-Lloyd has confirmed that port calls at Tianjin Xingang, Qingdao, and Busan remain unaffected.

On the US2 service, voyage 641E, originally scheduled to be operated by the vessel Navios Unison, will omit its Ningbo call entirely. The vessel had been scheduled to depart Ningbo on 7 October 2026 (Week 41). Hapag-Lloyd has confirmed that an alternative routing will be provided via the US1 service, with the vessel Maersk Shams departing Haiphong, Vietnam on 2 October 2026 and calling additionally at Norfolk, Virginia.

On the AA7 service, the sailing originally scheduled to be operated by Wan Hai A13 will also be omitted. The vessel had been scheduled to depart Ningbo on 1 October 2026 (Week 40).

Hapag-Lloyd advises that schedule adjustments of this nature are characteristic of the Golden Week period and encourages affected customers to monitor service updates closely and align their cargo and logistics plans accordingly. These adjustments reflect the carrier's broader commitment to maintaining network reliability and operational continuity in response to seasonal demand fluctuations across its global trade lanes.
