GEMIMO Elections 2026: Historic Participation for Blue List

The Chamber of Marine Engineering (GEMİMO) held its 43rd Ordinary General Assembly elections today, April 19, 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00 at the chamber's headquarters located at Sahrayıcedid Mahallesi, Halk Sokak, Çoldan Plaza No: 29 C Block, Floor: 3, Apartment: 6, Kadıköy/Istanbul. According to the yet-to-be-finalized results, the election concluded with the highest member participation in the history of the chamber.

In the election, the blue list of the 'Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow of the Chamber' movement was elected, with all primary and substitute board members being selected individually to form the board. The results clearly demonstrated the strong support of colleagues for a vision centered on unity, inclusivity, and solution-oriented approaches.

    Statement from the Elected Team

In a statement shared with the public by the 'Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow of the Chamber' movement following the elections, the following expressions were included:

'As a result of the TMMOB Chamber of Marine Engineering (GEMİMO) elections, according to yet-to-be-finalized data, the highest member participation in the history of the chamber has been achieved.

As the 'Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow of the Chamber' movement, the fact that all our primary and substitute board members from the blue list have been elected individually and completely is one of the strongest indicators of the trust our colleagues have in the vision we have presented. This outcome clearly shows that our approach of unity, inclusivity, and solution-orientedness has found a strong response within our professional community.

In line with the principles of 'inclusivity, transparency, and collective intelligence' that we expressed throughout the election process, we will operate with a management understanding that prioritizes the contributions of all our members. This strong support obtained is not only a result of an election but also the most significant indicator of the responsibility we will undertake in the upcoming period.

In the new term, our priority will be to further advance a chamber structure that protects the rights and interests of our colleagues, supports professional development, and works in harmony with all stakeholders in the maritime sector.

We thank all our colleagues who have trusted and supported us during this process; we respectfully present to the public that we will meet this trust with concrete projects and strong actions. Announced to the public with respect.'
