Multiple shipping containers and vehicles went up in flames in Riverside, California's Good Hope area, forcing the closure of part of Highway 74, reported ABC TV News.
The fire broke out around 1:30 AM in the 23500 block of Highway 74, according to Cal Fire. Heavy smoke filled the air as crews deployed ladder trucks to attack the blaze from above.
The fire was contained to the property, and no injuries were reported. Crews are expected to remain on scene for several hours.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert, reducing Highway 74 to one lane in each direction while firefighters battled the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, with no further details immediately available.
