FESCO sets a new record by transporting 6,767 TEU from Vladivostok, surpassing its previous record, with diverse cargoes heading to major Russian cities.

Russia's FESCO transport group moved a record 6,767 TEU from Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port between 9 and 15 February, surpassing its previous weekly maximum by 62 TEU, reports Russia Pivots to China.

The shipments were carried on 45 container trains bound for Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, and other Russian cities, as well as Minsk. Cargoes included food, equipment, clothing, and construction materials from Asia Pacific countries.

Three refrigerated trains operated by FESCO subsidiary Dalreftrans transported Asian fruits, seafood, cosmetics, and other temperature-sensitive goods.

Working with Russian Railways, FESCO also dispatched five twin container trains, each 142 wagons long, stretching over three to six kilometers.

Ivan Radchenko, managing director of Vladivostok Port, said the results reflect coordinated efforts by freight terminals, dispatchers, and Russian Railways, reinforcing the port's role as Russia's primary Far East sea gate.
