FESCO Transport Group boosts capacity on its Indian Line West service by 20%, enhancing trade links between Novorossiysk, India, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
Russia's FESCO Transport Group has increased capacity on its FESCO Indian Line West (FIL-W) service linking Novorossiysk, India, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia by nearly 20 per cent, reports Moscow's Russia's Pivot to Asia.
The rise came after one vessel was replaced with a larger ship. Previously, the line was served by the FESCO Ekaterina (1,043 TEU), FESCO Yanina (962 TEU), and FESCO Askold (1,080 TEU). The new vessel has already begun its first voyage, departing Jebel Ali for Novorossiysk with imports. Two other FESCO ships with a combined capacity of more than 2,000 TEU remain on the route.
The FIL-W service has been operating since 2023, connecting Novorossiysk with Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India, Jebel Ali in the UAE, and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. In 2025, shipments on the line exceeded 19,000 TEU, up 16 per cent on 2024.
Export volumes reached about 8,000 TEU, a rise of three per cent, while imports climbed to more than 11,000 TEU, up 23 per cent. The expansion highlights FESCO's growing focus on Middle Eastern trade links.
