47 people, among them five crew members were evacuated after a fire from the 'Eid' on Aug 17, 2018. One crew member has had the need for medical supervision after inhaling smoke. The ferry was located in Lysefjorden at the Preikestolen. The passengers were evacuated into lifeboats and boats that assisted. Air and sea assets have been sent to the site, including the police boat of the operation center at the South West Police District as well as emergency, helicopter and other boats . The passengers were sent to Oanes for health´checks. There was still no control over the fire. The ferry 'Finnøy' took the 'Eid' in tow. The ferry service Lauvik-Oanes was suspended.
