Passengers were evacuated from the Liverpool-bound 'Stena Mersey'' on Oct 7, 2018, after reports that a “device” had been left on board. The service was held in Belfast while the vessel was searched by PSNI and Harbour Police officers. At around 12.50 a.m. the PSNI said no device was found and passengers were allowed to re-embark the ferry, which would then shortly depart for Liverpool.
