ATTENDEES of the 4th European Dredging Summit on March 6-7, 2019 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands will have the opportunity to visit Trelleborg factory. Those who book a space to participate in the site visit will learn about different compounds, including natural rubber and synthetic compounds such as neoprene, nitrile and butyl. They will also be shown different production processes for rubber products such as moulding, extrusion and wrapping (seals for dredging and dredging hoses).
During the visit they will also learn about steelblasting, the vulcanisation process in general, vulcanisation joints and different technical rubber products for different markets and different applications, a statement from ACI (Europe), the conference's organisers said.
