Off the coast of the Arnavutköy district, located on Istanbul's Black Sea coast, fishermen discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle in the sea. Upon reporting the situation, Coast Guard teams were directed to the scene. The teams are currently conducting investigations and security operations in the area.
Research is being conducted to determine which country or organization the found unmanned aerial vehicle belongs to.
According to information reported by NTV, experts stated in their initial assessments that the UAV resembles the kamikaze drones known as 'Geran-2,' which are used by Russia. However, it was noted that the definitive result would be clarified after a technical examination conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces.
Additionally, it was recalled that in recent weeks, there have been unmanned aerial vehicles that entered Turkish airspace and were either shot down as a result of intervention or landed due to technical malfunctions.
