DJI launches its first heavy-lift drones, the T200 and FC200, capable of carrying up to 200 kg, marking a shift from smaller models.
Drone maker DJI has unveiled its first large drones for material transport, with payloads up to 200 kilograms, reported Caixin.
Under Chinese rules, drones with take-off weights above 150 kilograms are classified as large. DJI had previously focused on smaller models used for photography, surveying, inspection, and farming.
The new T200 and FC200 are priced at CNY99,000 (US$14,500) and CNY134,000, respectively. The T200 is still designated as an agricultural drone, limited to farming and forestry, with restrictions on altitude, speed, and range.
Despite those limits, the T200 faces lighter regulation, requiring only corporate training certificates instead of licenses or flight plan approvals.
