In the morning of Aug 12, 2018, the 'Saxum', enroute from Stokmarknes to Hamburg, was in collision with the 12-m-sailing yacht 'Sailia' on the Elbe north of Neuwerk island. A 64 year old woman was severely injured in the face and had to be treated in hospital, the yacht suffered significant damage. The 'Sailia' had been enroute to Hamburg too. The 'Saxum“ only suffered scratches at the bow. She berthed at the oil mill in the Neuhöfer Canal at 12.20 p.m. The police launched an investigation.
