    FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced that the navigability conditions on the Amazon River are not showing improvement and will be subject to a surcharge. Therefore, the Low Water Surcharge (LWS) applicable to all cargo from/to Manaus, Brazil is revised as follows: Through September for US, US territories, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Panama, Venezuela, Argentina, Ecuador the charge is set at US$750 per TEU, then US$1,100 from October 25.
