Beijing aims to promote traditional Chinese medicine globally to address health challenges in developing countries, says South China Morning Post.
Beijing plans to promote traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) internationally to help tackle health challenges in developing countries, reported Hong Kong's South China Morning Post.
Lei Haichao, head of the National Health Commission, stated that the government would bring Chinese medicine and its culture to the global community while encouraging exchanges among different traditional practices. He made these remarks during the annual 'two sessions' meetings on Saturday.
Officials indicated that China would expand the global pool of medicinal plants used in TCM therapies. This initiative aims to address health needs not only at home but also across the Global South and other regions.
