The tank barge 'Norman Mcleod' (6809 gt, built 2002) with the 'Everlast' was anchored near Tracy, Quebec, when the barge's anchor broke, in position 46 00.716 N, 73 10.15 E, on Aug 9, 2018,at 01.4 a.m. The barge drifted and subsequently grounded. Both the anchor and chain sank and were not recovered. There was no damage to the barge as a result of the grounding. The barge was later refloated with the assistance of tugs. No pollution was reported.
