Turkey Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that the Underwater Defense Teams (SAS) in the region quickly arrived at the incident site after a mine was detected in the offshore of İğneada, close to the Bulgarian border, in the morning.
In the written statement made by the Ministry of National Defense on the subject it was said that; "After the detection of a mine off the Iğneada near the Bulgarian border in the morning of 28 March 2022, the Underwater Demolition Teams (SAS) in the region were quickly transferred to the incident site. The mine was secured by the SAS Teams and ineffective.''
