The 4th Maritime Nation Project Awards were presented at the 5th Turkey Maritime Summit, recognizing innovative maritime projects and their creators.
The projects that ranked in the Marine Country, Marine Nation Project Competition, organized for the fourth time this year by the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping, were awarded during a ceremony held as part of the 5th Turkey Maritime Summit, conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and supported by the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs at Tersane Istanbul.
The awards were presented to the winning competitors by Ünal Baylan, General Director of Maritime Affairs at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (UAB), Salih Tan, General Director of Shipyards and Coastal Structures, and Tamer Kıran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping.
In the competition, the project 'MARBEE – NDT Drone' prepared by Doğuhan Hazar Cengiz won first place, the project 'MALTİS: Magnetic Torque Based Lateral-Axial Underwater Propulsion System' prepared by Umut Şahan won second place, and the project 'AeroFOLD Wind Turbine Technology's Maritime Application' prepared by Tarık Özkul was awarded third place.
