THE american Trucking Associations (ATA) blasted the Biden administration 'for turning its back on middle America to placate elite, liberal interests' after praising it for its success in fashioning bi-partisan infrastructure legislation.
'Demonizing businesses and enabling partisan tax-and-spend policies will dampen our economic recovery and jeopardise the fragile gains we've made,' said ATA president and CEO Chris Spear, reported the American Journal of Transportation.
'The trucking industry and the families and businesses who depend on the supply chain call on President Biden, Leader Schumer and Speaker Pelosi to work in good faith across party lines for solutions all Americans can be proud of, not just a handful of liberal activists,' said Mr Spear.
'With a 50-50 tie in the Senate and almost the same in the House, President Biden could again call for consensus and compromise. Americans are worried about rising inflation, getting back to work and responding to Covid and national disasters,' he said.
