AMERICAN Airlines () has announced that Jessica Tyler has been named president of cargo and vice president of Airport Excellence, reports the American Journal of Transportation.
Ms Tyler will be responsible for cargo and airport customer service. This is part of 's recent downsizing of management and support staff in response to the havoc wreaked on the industry by the coronavirus pandemic.
Ms Tyler will report to airport and cargo vice president Jim Butler. She replaces Rick Elieson, promoted to vice president in charge of the Advantage loyalty programme.
Reporting to Ms Tyler will be commercial cargo vice president Roger Sam ways, also responsible for global cargo sales, revenue management and customer care. Lisa Oxendine will report to Samways as Managing Director of Cargo Global Sales.
David Vance will continue to lead the cargo operation, but in an expanded role that oversees all policies and procedures for the airline and aligns airport and cargo operations.
