ZIM America has announced it is revising the port rotations of its ZCP Shanghai-Norfolk service to include the Port of Virginia from June 15 with the sailing of the 4,839-TEU Zim Mediterranean.
Zim officials said it has revised rotations to better serve the US, adding that ZCP (ZIM Container Service Pacific) Shanghai-Norfolk transit time of 30 days is "one of the best in the market".
"This is responding to our customers' needs while making our network more efficient," said Zim vice president Rafi Ben-Ari.
The new rotation will be Savannah, Virginia, New York, Halifax, Kingston, Los Angeles, Oakland, Vostochny, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Balboa, Kingston and back to Savannah. Zim's ZCP service is currently operated by 10 vessels each in the 4,800 TEU to 5,000 TEU range.
