LONDON-based digital forwarder Zencargo has raised US$4 million to accelerate its new product development process and open a new office in China that aims to bridge the communication gap between shippers and thousands of local manufacturers.
Investment in the seed plus round was led by LocalGlobe, with participation from Samos Investments and Picus Capital that brought total funds raised to US$4 million for the company that already has offices around the UK and Switzerland, reported London's Air Cargo News.
'We're very excited to be working with Zencargo,' said LocalGlobe partner Tara Reeves. 'The team has an excellent blend of experience both in the shipping sector and in digital technology.'
