Wan Hai resumes west coast of South America service on 9-ship loop
TAIWAN's Wan Hai Line has resumed its service string jointly with PIL, EMC and Coscon known as ASA, that is operated with nine vessels of between 3,500 and 3,900 TEU.
Wan Hai seeks to correct an earlier report that the company had decided to go ahead with a stand-alone service of its own to the west coast of Latin America.
"So far Wan Hai is satisfied with the joint service in Asia-Mexico-WCSA," said a statement from the company.
As it stands, Wan Hai deploys four vessels on the joint ASA service. PIL deploys three ships and Coscon/EMC deploys one each on a rotation of Kaohsiung, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Quetzal, Buenaventura, Callao, Guayaquil, Manzanillo and back to Kaohsiung.
