Uzmar Denizcilik supports the development of the autonomous boat developed by ITU ITUASTEAM, with the aim of being a pioneer in innovative technologies.
Established at the Faculty of Naval Architecture and Marine Sciences, it includes members from many engineering branches such as Electricity, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Communication, Control, Mechanical, Geomatics and Food Engineering. The team, which aims to enable the vehicles they design and manufacture to fulfill the tasks given completely autonomously without any outside intervention, designs and manufactures domestic and national surface floating vehicles with the support of sponsors as well as its own unique opportunities.
BEE-Ast autonomous boat developed by the Istanbul Technical University ITUASTEAM Autonomous boat team, of which UZMAR is the main sponsor, participated in the 2022 Robotx Autonomous Maritime Competition.
The İTÜASTEAM team, which has collected enough points to be among the top 5 among the 20 teams participating in the competition, is assertive in the competition.
The team, which went to Sydney to participate in the competition, got their boats after a temporary problem at customs was resolved.
ITUASTEAM, the first and only university team from Turkey to qualify to participate, represents our country at the races at Sydney International Boat Racing Center on November 11-17.
