SteelOrbis reported that according to a
statement released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association, in November this year Turkey's crude steel production rose by 12.8 % YoY to 2.85 million tonnes, but
down by 7.6% MoM.
The reports said that the MoM decrease is due to the uncertainty in the global markets.
On the other hand, in the first 11 months of 2011, Turkey's crude steel output amounted to 30.99 million tonnes, increasing by 17.6% YoU.
Steel production using electric arc furnaces increased by 21.7% YoY in January-November 2011, while production via blast furnaces rose by 7.3% YoY.
