TURKEY’s Cemre Engineering & Shipyard has bagged an order for two 2,000 dwt cargoships priced at NKr120m ($22m) from Norwegian shipping company Seaworks, Lloyds List reported.
Work on the first ship is expected to start in August with work on the second beginning in November. Both ships are expected to take around a year to be completed. Cemre has already built a number of offshore vessels for Norwegian interests. The order for two vessels followed from a delegation of Turkish yards to the recent Nor-Shipping exhibition.
