The 'Hardhaus' was close to become a contructive total loss after lying partially flooded 4,5 days in the capized floating dock in Hirtshals. During inspections it turned out that the damage has raised to a two-digit million Euro amount. Despite the extensive damage the owner Geir Møgster was not dissatisfied with the dock owner, Hirtshals Shipyard, and believed that the yard has handled the incident in a good way and helped solve the problems. The repair of the trawler is now shipped in tender. Only when the offer has been decided, the final costs of the the repairs will be clear. In addition, a loss of income will occur until the trawler can get out and fish again. The most serious damage was in the engine room where hundreds of tons of sea water have penetrated. There has also been extensive damage to the wheelhouse, and the mast broke off. Actually efforts were being focused on getting the hull cleaned up.
