Top shipping CIOs at INTTRA Paris conference to enhance cooperation
THE portal-based ocean shipping e-commerce network INTTRA recently held the liner carrier chief information officer conference, drawing CIOs from CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, Hamburg Sud, Maersk Line, MSC, UASC, CSAV, Kuehne + Nagel, Boston Consulting Group, Gartner and Mallory Alexander International Logistics.
The two-day meeting saw the new CIO Leadership Council exchange ideas and collaborate to establish a roadmap for "sustainable ocean shipping e-commerce improvements," reported American Shipper.
"The formation of the CIO Leadership Council is crucial to building a technology roadmap to address the industry's most pressing challenges," said INTTRA chief executive Ken Bloom.
"Through collaboration with the top carriers and shippers, we'll be able to achieve more impactful improvements than any individual provider can achieve themselves," he said.
The CIO Leadership Council will also provide input on key technology initiatives for INTTRA to implement to help drive major industry innovation, automation and industry-wide data quality improvement.
