Unknown persons untied the 'Hameln' (EU-No.: 05500260; MMSI - No.: 211519790; CS: DF6382 on June 30, 2018, at 3 a.m. at its berth at the 'Stockhof' on the Weser. The ship drifted river downstream until it hit a piling of the Münster Bridge. The master who was sleeping on board awoke due to the impact and was able to start the engine and take the ship back to its berth. He remained uninjured, but the superstructure of the vessel was damaged in the aft section. The amount of damage was estimated to be at least 50.000 Euro.
