RUSSIA's Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP) Group said container throughput in the first ten months of the year dropped 28.1 per cent to 391,000 TEU from 544,000 TEU in the same period last year.
Container traffic during the same period reached 4.2 million tonnes, down 6.2 per cent per cent from last year, according to World-Grain.com.
Consolidated cargo turnover for the first 10 months of 2015 reached 116 million tonnes, up from 3.9 per cent or 4.3 million tonnes in the same period last year.
Bulk cargo volumes totalled 9.9 million tonnes, including: 5.2 million tonnes of grain; 1 million tonnes of chemical cargo; 769,000 tonnes of sugar; 1.7 million tonnes of iron ore, and 1.2 million tonnes of coal.
Transshipment of grain increased by 234,000 tonnes, or 43.7 per cent, in October versus September 2015.
General cargo volumes for the first 10 months of 2015 increased by 1.9 million tonnes, or 19.5 per cent year on year, and reached 11.7 million tonnes.
