The situation of the "Napoleon Bonaparte" by Nov 2 was still unstable with the risk of a capsize being taken very seriously.
Thus salvors have slowed down pumping operations which started two days ago. The pumps are also working with only 10% of their capacity.
Apart from the risk of a sudden destabilization of the ship, major concerns have arisen over the last few hours on the stability of the structural integrity of the "Napoleon Bonaparte" due to the enormous efforts which will be effected by the draining of some 80,000 m of water.
Complex calculations are underway to assess the risk and develop a procedure that reduces the risk.
