OOCL dumps Thamesport for Southampton on channel loops for reliability
HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) will transfer its Pacific Atlantic Express (PAX), Gulf Atlantic Express (GAX) and Gulf Mexico Express (GMX) services from Thamesport to Southampton to enhance schedule reliability.
The carrier said in a statement that the last calls to Thamesport are expected to be in October adding that it will announce the vessel and schedule details as soon as they become available.
The new port rotation in Europe will be: Gulf Atlantic Express (GAX) - Antwerp, Bremerhaven and Southampton; Gulf Mexico Express (GMX) - Southampton, Antwerp, Bremerhaven and Le Havre; Pacific Atlantic Express (PAX) service - Southampton, Antwerp, Hamburg and Rotterdam.
