GLOBAL provider of class-approved, high capacity ballast water treatment systems, OceanSaver has achieved a certification double by achieving US Coast Guard (USCG) approval and acquiring by itself ISO 9001:2008 certification by Lloyd's Register for its Mark II Ballast Water Treatment (BWT) system.
The awards, built on the system's existing IMO acceptance and DNV Type Approval, consolidate the company's claim that it now offers "the ultimate in BWT compliance" to its global customer base.
Based in Drammen, Norway, OceanSaver provides BWT systems for medium and large vessels, such as VLCCs, LNG Carriers, and a variety of tankers and bulk carriers.
Said OceanSaver CEO Houtan Houshangi: "Regulatory compliance is at the top of the business agenda for international shipowners, and with good reason."
