NEW ZEALAND employment court has temporarily overruled the Ports of Auckland and reinstated the 292 dockers it fired and started to replace with outside contractors, reports London's Containerisation International.
But the case will be heard in court today, Monday, March 19. The court action results from a plea from the Maritime Union of New Zealand for a declaratory judgement on whether the wholesale sacking of the dockers is legal.
