MICT in the Philippines to finish yard expansion project by year-end
MANILA International Container Terminal Services (MICT), the flagship facility of Philippine's based international port operator, ICTSI, expects to complete the first stage of its expansion of yard seven by year end.
The work will boost the terminal's existing import capacity up by 18 per cent, a company statement said, pointing out that the additional storage will be a "key to optimising terminal utilisation".
MICT has also rolled out its terminal appointment booking system (TABS) ahead of the anticipated increase in container movements in the months leading up to the holiday season.
