A 71-year-old woman had to be medevaced from the "Norwegian Dawn" on Feb. 12, 2017, on the Misssissippi River after she suffered an shoulder injury about 7 p.m. The Coast Guard sent a 45-foot response boat and crew from the Venice station. The crew arrived at the cruise ship at 8:25 p.m., approximately 30 nautical miles north of Venice. They took the woman and her husband to Venice, where they were met by local emergency medical services.
