Maersk Line, the world's largest container shipping company and a unit of Danish shipping and oil group A.P. Moller-Maersk AS, Triple-E vessels will touch five Chinese ports, adding significant capacity to its vessels string, a senior executive said.
"Triple-E vessels will touch five Chinese ports. The five are Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian and Hong Kong, adding significant capacity to the vessels string serving Asia-Europe and furthering Maersk lines dominance in the trade, the firm said.
South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has said it expects to win a 2 trillion won ($1.8 billion) order from Maersk to build 10 of the world's biggest type of container ships, confirming an earlier Reuters report.
