London Gateway names Import Services to run its Common User Facility
A PARTNERSHIP between DP World's London Gateway and Import Services Ltd aims to ensure shippers benefit from low supply chain costs at the new terminal's Common User Facility.
Following a "rigorous" selection process, DP World has appointed Import Services to act as operator and manager at the facility in the London Gateway Logistics Park.
The steelwork for the first phase of the 386,000-square foot multipurpose cargo handling centre is nearly complete and it is to open next year.
Said London Gateway supply chain chief Peter Ward: "Import Services has demonstrated a vision and real understanding of our mission as the UK's new deep-water hub port and logistics park."
