'K' Line upgrades intra-Asia, adds Thai, Philippines, Vietnam links
"K" LINE is to upgrade its intra-Asia services called JABCO-1 and JACOB-2 to provide better transit times between Japan and Thailand and maintain direct coverage for China, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
The port rotation for JABCO 1 will be as follows: Shimizu, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh and back to Shimizu. It will deploy three vessels of average capacity 1,700 TEU.
The port rotation for JACOB 2 will be Tokyo, Yokohama, Hitachinaka, Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Manila, Shanghai and back to Tokyo. It will deploy four vessels of average capacity of 1,200 TEU.
The inaugural sailing of JABCO-1 will be on February 26 from Shimizu and JABCO-2 from Tokyo as of mid-March.
