'K' Line names ex-container business chief Murakami as its new CEO
JAPAN's "K" Line has reshuffled its executive suite, announcing the coming appointments of president and CEO Jiro Asakura to the position of chairman of the board and promoting vice president Ezio Murakami to become the new president and CEO.
Changes are to take effect as previously scheduled on April 1, according to the "K" Line statement.
Mr Murakami, the new CEO, joined "K" Line in 1975 to become containership chief in 2004, becoming executive officer in 2006 and managing executive officer in 2007, senior managing executive officer in 2009, then representative director senior managing executive officer in 2009 and finally, vice president in 2014.
