The Congress will be hosted in the splendid 5 star Grange Hotel located in the heart of London, adjacent to St Pauls Cathedral. London’s nearby West End theatre district and other tourist attractions can be visited on foot, by London Underground or by a short journey on one of London’s celebrated red double decker buses or black cabs.
Registration will commence on Sunday 23rd September at the IMPA office aboard HQS Wellington, moored nearby on the River Thames, followed by the Welcome Reception in the evening at the hotel.
The wide-ranging Conference programme is now published. Included are such topics as; Recent technological developments, Manoeuvring LNGs, Developments in the Panama Canal, Pilots personal safety, Use of helicopters, Pilot boat construction and safety, and Administration in pilotage. It has been designed to inform pilots, stimulate discussion and to encourage pilots and other allied maritime colleagues from around the world to share experiences. The Conference is supported by an extensive Exhibition with participation from a wide diversity of quality commercial interests.
An exciting Social Programme has been arranged; offering you the chance to participate in the inaugural IMPA golf tournament, as well as a wide variety of tour choices that will allow you to visit some of the world’s most iconic tourist attractions. There is a unique opportunity for delegates and guests to attend a reception in the Houses of Parliament, as well as a mid week cruise to Greenwich, where east meets west at zero longitude. Once conference business is completed, the Gala Dinner at The Royal Courts of Justice on Friday evening will provide a memorable climax to the week's events.
