Hutchison to upgrades Felixstowe Trinity quay to accept 20,000-TEUers
THE Port of Felixstowe will upgrade two berths at the Hutchison Trinity terminal to dock ships up to and beyond 19,000 TEU and beyond.
Britain's biggest container port plans to deepen berths six and seven and increase the height of some of its gantries.
The relevant authority, the United Kingdom's Marine Management Organisation, recently granted permission reported Alphaliner.
Civil engineering works are scheduled to begin later this year for completion in the second half of 2017. Hutchison did not disclose amount of its investment in the planned terminal upgrade.
