THE recent Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC) brought together logistics and maritime services providers and users, including manufacturers, traders and distributors, to exchange market intelligence and explore business opportunities in the region.
The fifth edition of ALMC at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre has successfully accomplished, with a record-breaking attendance of over 2,000 industry elites from some 30 countries and regions, who came to network, discuss business deals, and acquire insights and intelligence from nearly 100 internationally renowned speakers.
"On our agenda are always some of the most significant developments affecting the industry globally. For example, in this fifth ALMC, we had three prominent trends including the significance of China's One Belt One RoadInitiative, big data analytics, and the explosive growth of e-commerce," said a statement from organisers.
"In addition, we also designed sector-specific forums covering logistics, shipping and maritime, air freight and supply chain management in our two-day programme," said the statement.
The ALMC Exhibition was expanded this year to include 100 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, showcasing their e-logistics and logistics services as well as shipping and other related services.
More than 130 one-on-one business-matching sessions were arranged to help exhibitors and conference participants explore new business opportunities.
