The "Burgos" left the Maritime Terminal of Pajaritos bound to Istanbul on Feb 2, 2017, at 3 p.m. to undergo a total repair after it was gutted by fire in September 2016. It had entered the port of Coatzacoalcos in early October where she remained for almost three months at dock 5 of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex). The ship now was totally clean, unladen and unmanned, complying with all international safety measures. The tanker was towed by the Vanuatu flagged offshore tug "Resolve Earl" (IMO: 8516964) which had been contracted by the tanker's insurance. The unmooring manoever was assisted by four tugs. The convoy was expected to arrive in 56 days, ETA Apr 20.
