After having been refloated in Calais with the rising tide following its allision with the RoRo T1 gateway and subsequent grounding on rocky bottom, the "Pride of Kent" returned to berth 9 around 6:30 p.m. where the passengers were disembarked. Cross-Channel traffic, interrupted on the French and English side, resumed around 8 p.m. The grounding damaged the hull of the ship. It suffered small water ingress which could be controlled. An investigation to determine the causes of the incident, conducted by the Maritime Affairs Branch, has been launched.
