Federal agency warns of counterfeit US Coast Pilot book sold illegally
THE US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the federal agency that pushes global warming, has issued an alarm over a counterfeit versions of its United States Coast Pilot book being illegally sold to the public.
"NOAA has recently become aware that incomplete and otherwise inaccurate reproductions of the US Coast Pilot are being offered for sale to consumers. Consumers need to be aware that such reproductions may not meet US Coast Guard carriage requirements," said the press release.
"The entire content of the inaccurate book (aside from the interior and exterior covers) is printed as a black and white document (the official copy has colour images and text). Front and back cover images do not correspond to the examples presented as thumbnails on the US Coast Pilot website," said the release.
Issued in nine volumes, the United States Coast Pilot consists of information for navigators of coastal and intracoastal waters and the Great Lakes.
