Evergreen joins others adding Iran call to Far East-Mideast service
TAIWAN's Evergreen is to join the growing number of international carriers that are returning to Iran, following the lifting of the economic sanctions against the country, reports Alphaliner.
Evergreen will add Bandar Abbas (Shahid Rajaee) to its Far East-Middle East Gulf APG service starting from this week, with the first call scheduled on August 5 with the 8,452-TEU Ever Legion.
The revised APG rotation is Shanghai, Ningbo, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Jebel Ali, Bandar Abbas, Dammam, Port Kelang, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
It turns in seven weeks with seven ships of 7,000-8,500 TEU. Hyundai Merchant Marine and Cosco will take slots on the service.
