DALIAN is building a 50,000-tonne cold warehouse for aqua products which uses state-of-the-art Japan-made facilities, according to Economic Information Daily, a newspaper of the Xinhua News Agency.
The project is a Sino-Japanese joint venture of two fishery companies with a registered capital of CNY100 million (US$15.7 million), including four such facilities inside Dalian's Dayaowan Bonded Port Area.
First phase of the project will complete building one 50,000-tonne cold warehouse, costing CNY230 million. The warehouse will have six stories and a capacity of 49,500 tonnes, covering a land area of 59,600 square metres and a floor area of 44,300 square metres. Temperature of the warehouse will be between minus 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. The sixth floor will be installed with fully automated cargo shelves. Yearly turnover of the warehouse will be about 200,000 tonnes, generating about 9,000 TEU's throughput for the port of Dalian.
